we quilt, sew, embroidery, glue (mainly Bev),applique, paper piece (Sue...not so much),cross stitch, bead, and do a touch of community projects.
We laugh and cry.
There are currently 9 of us that get together to share and work on a quilting project. A pattern is agreeded upon and we all go home and do our thing with it.
Bev, Teena, Donna, Sheryl, Diana, and Carolyn have moved away but stay in touch. We miss you. Phyllis and Maureen have gone on home to heaven. We miss them. They remain in our hearts.
We didn't have a name, and we still don't...it was just the "dark quilt" project...and that has stuck for years now.
I can't remember but I think we started meeting each month in 1998. Our first quilt was finished Aug 1999. I think we took a year to complete it.

Hi everyone!
This was called "The Garden Quilt", and it was my first project with the Darkies, 1999.
I know this because I actually labeled it and still have the quilt.
We all entered our in the HnH quilt show that year,not for prizes, but as a group.
Oh yeah.....none of these are mine!
